Founders

Futurised was founded by Robbert Heinecke and Juliette Kraal. Together, they share a passion for innovation and technology in the public safety domain.

Robbert brings over 25 years of experience as a program manager, project leader, and operational commander within the fire service (Incident Commander). For many years, he has integrated innovative technologies such as drones, robotics, and sensors into operational teams and has led projects focused on improving the safety of first responders. Robbert is also the founder of the “Team Digitale Verkenning” within the Dutch fire service.

Juliette brings extensive experience from the Netherlands Institute for Public Safety, where she led projects and acted as a key link between policy, practice, and research. She has worked on connecting strategic insights to daily operations and guiding initiatives that strengthen collaboration and knowledge development. Juliette is also skilled in translating complex challenges into practical solutions and contributes to a strong substantive foundation for innovation and societal impact.

Together, they founded Futurised to make technology, data, and human-centered innovation truly workable for first responders.

With her structured and committed approach, she helps the team collaborate efficiently and keeps the organization running effectively on a daily basis.

Theo Cenin

General advisor, coach, innovation application expert

Theo has worked for 36 years as an Operational Chemical Advisor/Hazmat Officer for the Rotterdam-Rijnmond Fire Service and Safety Region. In this role, he has been seconded to organisations including the Ministry of Defence/CBRN-E and the Seaport Police, providing specialist expertise in hazardous materials. He contributed to security operations during the Nuclear Security Summit (NSS) in 2014 and the NATO Summit in 2025, advising on strategic chemical detection and the interpretation of detection results. Theo ran his own company for 20 years, specialising in the education, exercises and training of fire service and industry specialists and senior officers. He also contributes to the development of major projects, such as the Major Emergency Response (MER) team.

Nick Netsounski

Intern Embedded AI Software Engineer

Nick is an intern studying ICT and Computer Engineering and is working at Futurised on the further development of the HSP IB-3000 robot. During his internship, he is focusing on the first steps towards enabling the robot to operate independently. He is developing the software and algorithms required for the robot to navigate autonomously through an environment and detect and avoid obstacles.

Justin van Ee

Intern Game & Software Development

Justin is a Game & Software Development intern at Futurised and is working on the development of an educational game. After three years in the security industry, he decided to turn his interest in software development into a career. He enjoys working on challenging projects in which he transforms ideas into well-functioning applications while continuing to expand his knowledge. With his eagerness to learn and solution-oriented approach, he aims to gain as much practical experience as possible during his internship and learn from the knowledge and experience within the team.
